The MA LTC prerequisites encompass the MA Basic Firearms Safety Course, and our 4-hour class, led by licensed instructors, fulfills those requirements.

Class description: Join us at our Chicopee store for an immersive and interactive session where you'll gain practical experience with a diverse range of firearms. Learn essential knowledge, skills, and the proper mindset for safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in your home. Our expert instructors will provide comprehensive education on Massachusetts gun laws, as well as valuable insights on the secure transportation of firearms. If you're considering obtaining a License to Carry a firearm, our safety class will equip you with all the pertinent information you need.

In our class, we will demystify the application process by walking you through each step. Rest assured that our small class sizes ensure personalized attention and ample opportunities to seek clarifications.

Live Fire: Our course includes live fire training on the same day! Live fire takes place at Fairview Sportsman’s Club in Granby, MA, at an outdoor range, so please dress accordingly. Each student will have the opportunity to shoot under the guidance of our instructors, who will demonstrate the proper handling and shooting techniques for firearms.

Not only does our course qualify you for both resident and nonresident Mass licenses, but you can also use it to apply for a non-resident license in Connecticut.

What to bring: Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn! We provide all safety equipment, firearms, ammunition, and targets.

Must be at least 14 to apply (for FID)**
Must be at least 21 to apply (for LTC)
Must be a resident of MA
Must be a US citizen 

**Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
